Prepare For Listing
Clean

A clean vessel, inside and out, gives a better first impression. Wash the outer surfaces, polish wood finishing, and use clean and unwrinkled linens. Don't forget inside of compartments!

Label

Put a label on anything that needs to be labelled. A prospective buyer may not know much about your boat and labels are an easy way to avoid confusion. Electronics and mechanical components also!

De-Clutter

Remove anything that does not need to be there. You want to draw attention to the boat and it's features. Clutter makes it difficult to assess quality and space. â€‹

Familiarity

Know your boat. Brand, length, speed, running hours, and any special or distinguishing features are important basic information. Being familiar with these facts will facilitate a quicker and more specific listing.

Repair

Do a thorough hands-on assessment, and repair any issues that you find or are already aware of. Prospective buyers are not usually looking for a "fixer-upper".

Availability

Be open and prepared for people wishing to view the boat in person or through a video tour. Expect that any electronic or mechanical features included with the vessel are going to need to be turned on and inspected.
